     The Task

The task is for individuals or small groups of pupils working together to create a 5-minute Presentation (PowerPoint or similar) on one of Abingdon’s twin towns. Schools may submit presentations for each of the twin towns, or for just one town, or for as many of the towns as they like.

Each presentation will be judged by a Judging Panel from ADTTS and the best of these will go forward to the Final Judging Stage where the overall winners will be chosen. At the Final Judging Stage the best presentations will be shown at an evening meeting of the members of ADTTS, where the eventual winners in each town category will be chosen.

The presentations should be 3 - 5 minutes in length, and should show the geographical position of the town and give a brief introduction to its history/formation, and provide an interesting and comprehensive picture of the twin town, which can include, for example:

Famous citizens of the town

Architecture/interesting buildings

Local industry/farming/means of livelihood

Cultural aspects

Famous events held in the town

Food and drink

Tourism in and around the town
